OH. MY. GOODNESS.
I do not have words to describe
the amazing happy dance
my tastebuds did…
The table was filled with
“mmm’s” and “ooooh’s”
in between the bites we shoveling in…
Ok, truthfully, not shoveling in…because we wanted it to last!
Even the 13 year old son was taking his time and resting between bites,
a phenomena I have not witnessed before!
This are time consuming,
but oh so very worth it…
and oh so very addicting…
I am already looking for a reason to fix these again!
don’t skimp on the onions…
pay the extra for the Vidalia ones!
- 2-3 large Vidalia onions
- sliced bacon (I needed about two slices per onion ring
- 4 TBSP sriracha
- 1 Cup honey
- 4 TBSP ranch dressing
- 1 TBSP soy sauce
Slice onions in thick rings (about a half an inch thick). Separate onions into rings (I used two rings together per wrap). Wrap bacon around each set of rings, securing with a toothpick if needed. Combine ranch dressing, sriracha, honey and soy sauce, stirring until well mixed. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Dip each bacon ring combo into the sauce and place on the parchment paper. Drizzle remaining sauce over the top. Cook for 50 min in a 400 degree oven, turning once, half way through cooking. Check often near the end to avoid bacon getting over cooked. Sit back and enjoy!
