Isn’t it funny the way God weaves things together?
About a month ago, I was surfing on my phone… not sure if it was Instagram, Facebook or what, and I came across a post about a launch team for a book called Table Mentoring, A Simple Guide to Coming Alongside. This post spoke to me on a lot of levels… I have unsuccessfully reached out several times over the last year to ladies and asked them about mentoring me on things… and, food is one of my love languages (yeah, I know it’s not on of ‘the’ five, but I love to create in the kitchen and the enjoyment I get in filling the bellies of others, it’s huge!)… so this book seemed like the perfect mix for me. I quickly filled out the form and when Sue emailed me back to welcome me to the team, I was all smiles! About a week later, the most lovely package arrived. You see, Sue doesn’t just have a heart for mentoring with words, but with service and gifts too. I soon sat down with my book and had to quickly put it down to go grab my pencil because the book was full of lines I needed to take notes on.
And, joining this launch team has been about so much more than this book for me… it’s about affirmation, relationships…with others and with Jesus, and most of all, it’s showed me that mentoring isn’t about perfection or knowing it all, it’s about learning and growing together.
Sue’s style of writing is such that if our paths ever cross and we are able to actually sit at a table and break bread (or a chocolate scone), there would be no awkward silence waiting to be filled… instead there would be a shortage of time to share all that I have learned and how appreciative I am for her stepping out in obedience and sharing her heart in this book!
Hop on over to here and grab your copy! It is well worth the price and the investment in yourself and your future relationships!
