I am addicted to painting to these flowers…
they are so fun!
You can check out Bonita’s post
on how to paint them here.
I did things a bit differently.
Instead of using my fingers,
I used a paint brush,
I didn’t use regular acrylic paint.
I started with white
and ‘colored’ it with my splash inks from A Muse.
(You can get them here).
So, start with white paint,
spritz some A Muse spray in it,
mix it up… I used my brush because I wasn’t sure if the
spray would stain my fingers.
swirl it around on the paper,
adding the buttercup later for some highlights.
Then, use just a touch of plain white for even more highlights.
After they dried completely,
I cut them out
with a messy/fussy cut.
Then, I took a white gel pen,
Added a few doodle lines,
and a few gold doodle lines on top of those.
I then took the coordinating buttercup card stock.
Cut it 4″x 5.25″.
I then cut a piece of white card stock to 3.5′ x 4.75″.
I layered the flowers on randomly on the white card stock.
I felt it needed something,
so, I took a sheet of grass card stock,
spritzed it with some sage splash and a bit of gold splash.
I then randomly cut out leaf shapes,
and highlighted with a gold pen.
I grabbed my go to stamp set,
and used the thank you from it.
I’m very happy with the outcome!
And the sheet of flowers…
I think there will be more cards or tags on the way!
